Six books of partimenti, plus a historical rules manual: seven PDFs, 346 pages. Books I–VI use Robert O. Gjerdingen’s modern edition.
| Pages | Contents | |
|---|---|---|
| Book I | 19 | Simple figured basses |
| Book II | 18 | Harder figured basses and suspensions |
| Book III | 24 | Italian rules with English translation and modern musical demonstrations |
| Book IV | 48 | Unfigured basses |
| Book V | 78 | Harder partimenti, preludes, and fugues |
| Book VI | 97 | Advanced fugues, canons, and exercises in all keys |
| Regole Musicali, 1795 | 62 | Historical Italian rules manual; overlaps with Book III, whose translation follows the 1775 text |
Book III is a bilingual presentation of the 1775 rules, informed by later editions. Gjerdingen supplied its illustrative realizations because the separate manuscript of original musical examples is lost. The 1795 Regole is retained as a reference; it is not a seventh exercise volume.
