Regole Musicali, 179562Historical Italian rules manual; overlaps with Book III, whose translation follows the 1775 text

Book III is a bilingual presentation of the 1775 rules, informed by later editions. Gjerdingen supplied its illustrative realizations because the separate manuscript of original musical examples is lost. The 1795 Regole is retained as a reference; it is not a seventh exercise volume.
