INFLUENCE OF THE ARTIFICIAL CHORD of the IVth degree of the melodic minor scale
Read and hear this section in the playable edition →§ 55. — The artificial major chord of the IVth degree of the melodic minor scale, altered into the chord of the same degree of the natural minor mode, and vice versa, gives the following means of modulation:
1) By ascending chromatic motion — to major keys.
2) By descending chromatic motion — to minor keys.
